Job Title: RDB DBA for Open VMS
Location: Remote, IL

Travel Type: Remote (no expenses)
- Experience with VSI OpenVMS
-Be able to identify OpenVMS issues relating to Oracle RDB such as performance, logicals, batch jobs, file protections
-Be familiar with user identifiers and the Authorize utility
- Experience with Oracle RDB
-Be able to perform RDB database backups and restores
-Use RMU/ANALYZE to identify fragmentated records, bad indexes, etc
-Use RMU/EXTRACT to generate DDL as needed
-Be able to create indexes, add/remove tables and columns
-Use RMU/SHOW Statistics to identify performance and locking issues
-Use RDB tools to identify locks and blockers and remedy those quickly
-Understands Oracle SQL/Services and SQL*NET for RDB (Also called OCI Services)
-Use RDB debug flags to identify inefficient indexes and problem queries
