We are looking for a self-motivated, collaborative and innovative Project Manager to support strategic R&D-wide projects work with the R&D Patient Science Team in the Chief Medical Office. You will sit in the PMO in the Oncology Chief Operating Office and provide Project Management support across x 3 R&D-wide Projects for our Clinical Trial Diversity initiatives. These programs span multiple SET areas with many links between them so identifying interdependencies, risk and opportunities for synergies will be key to the success of these critical projects. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced PM with knowledge of Pharma R&D and skilled at managing complex projects with many interdependencies.

You will be able to motivate others, take ownership for projects and maintain high standards for delivery. You will work directly with Program Leads and Sponsors within the Chief Medical Office and beyond to ensure deliverables fall within scope and budget and coordinate with other departments and / or Project Managers to ensure alignment between different initiatives across R&D.

Job Responsibilities:

Agree and deliver plans for projects / programs (or contribution in part to a larger project) including activities, resources, costs, roles, responsibilities and quality

Manage project / program budgets, forecasts, tasks, schedules, risks, change management, and status to support effective decisions and project reporting to stakeholders and review boards. Coordinate status and delivery of project workstreams. Identify / manage dependencies between projects (intra-program and across portfolio).

Assure / develop transition plans to ensure project delivered solutions are sustainable within a BAU operations environment, including controlled hand-over into operational support.

Manage relationships with key business stakeholders to ensure the effective capturing of business requirements and commitment to project/program objectives. Responsible for organization of steering / stakeholder meetings, communication of status, issues, risks.

Ensure effective risks & issues management processes are in place and effectively used. Resolve problems and escalate as appropriate.

Supporting project teams and provide the leadership necessary to maximize the team's success.

Manage changes to project/program scope, ensuring that all impacts and changes are approved and appropriately communicated to stakeholders and review boards.

Ensure the project team adheres to all PMO standards, processes, capabilities, and best practices.

Establish project governance and lead project governance meetings as required

Ensure expected benefits realization is consistent with project deliverables and clearly understood by stakeholders and project team.

Essential Skills-

Technical or Business Degree or relevant proven experience within Pharma R&D

Experienced PM with knowledge of Pharma R&D and skilled at managing multiple complex projects with many interdependencies.

Experience of developing transition plans to ensure project delivered solutions are sustainable within a BAU operations

Strong stakeholder management skills

Passion for putting patients first & inclusion and diversity

Proven skills and experience managing and controlling project budgets

Experience leading and developing project teams with a diverse blend of skills and capabilities

Evidence of shaping innovative solutions that have a major impact within the business area and organization

Proven problem-solving capabilities.

Strong communication, relationship and consulting skills

Knowledge and experience with large Pharma & CRO'S suppliers

Excellent business acumen with sensitivity to environment

Experience with project management and delivery methodologies and standards
