Role name: Programmer/Developer Lead– Power BI
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Duration: 6 months
Job description:
Responsible for database logical and physical design and performance tuning on queries, optimize execution efficiency in MS SQL Server Environment.
Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, implement complex hierarchical row level security, publish reports to power bi service and establish gate way refresh schedules.
Implement Calculations, Perspectives, hierarchy structures, score cards and Key Performance Indicators KPI with outstanding visualizations using DAX, T-SQL.
Work on Microsoft BI analytics stack (SSIS, SSAS) and work on investigating new tools, tool capabilities and engage with Business to propose, manage, implement solutions.
Develop SSAS tabular models utilizing complex DAX functions and SQL queries, stored procedures using T-SQL, CTE, XMLA, PowerShell scripts.
Work on complex data modelling and design patterns for BI/Analytics reporting requirements using star schema, tabular and multidimensional OLAP modelling.
Architecting/Developing BI reporting from multiple database platforms SQL Server, Cloudera, SAP HANA, perform data mapping, data integration and understand business rule complexities.
Develop Proof of concepts to mock up complex reporting requirements with upcoming technologies on Microsoft Analytics platform.
Experience working with Distributed delivery teams (offshore, onshore models) and Managed services model are required.
Experience working on Agile project delivery model is required.
Should have good communication and presentation skills
We would need overall MS BI experience ( SSIS, SSAS tabular models, expertise on SQL development along with Power BI expertise
