Establish the overall system architecture documentation and implement standards and guidelines
Undertake solution architecture, high-level design and/or detailed design documentation as
appropriate
Plan, develop, manage, monitor, and maintain a Linux infrastructure including shell server and other services including:
Providing advanced level support and troubleshooting Linux systems.
Sound knowledge of F5 load balancer, configuration and troubleshooting
Administration of MySQL v5.6/Maria DB v10.1 and troubleshooting issues, carrying out maintenance activities and performance tuning
Provide System Administration Support for Fedora Linux servers. Upgrade, and maintain RHEL servers
Developing and improving tools for common tasks and processes
Working closely with development teams
Creating and Documenting procedures for use within the operations team
Collecting and assessing requirements and translating them into strategic and technical implementation plans.
Planning, executing and automating wherever possible routine systems maintenance activities.
Providing support by taking problem reports, analyzing and debugging issues and implementing fixes.
Develop system build, installation and patching processes for Linux servers.
Modify and migrate configuration management processes and technologies to the Linux platforms.
Participate in systems architectural activities
Promulgate standards and best practices.
SSL Certificate installation
Investigate, analyze and, where appropriate, adopt emerging research computing technologies. Other duties as assigned.
Experience, Education, Background And Certifications/ Licenses
Must have a thorough knowledge of the Windows concepts, Domains, Active Directory
and its concepts, and the interaction between hardware, operating systems, network,
data center, and application software, Linux and Unix
Deep understanding of TCP, IP and other network protocols. Familiarity with DNS,
Knowledge of Cisco network and voice gears and technologies
Knowledge of managing a data center in terms of systems monitoring, capacity planning
and performance tuning.
Work with various Enterprise team to migrate the infrastructure to cloud or on-premises. Knowledge of Azure Platform is preferable
Ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environment and appropriately prioritize tasks,
and keep abreast of the latest technology.
Maintain and improve server provisioning kickstarts and shell scripts
Regularly update OS and packages all server environments
Respond to tickets and incident requests within the SLA
Ability to travel to the datacentre and provide hands and feet support for server racks, switches when required
Required skills & experience:
10+ years’ work experience in diverse IT technical and management roles
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering and necessary certification in Redhat, Database etc.
Hands on experience on Linux Lamp Stack, F5 Load Balancer, Maria/MySQL DB, Firewall, Switches 3rd party Application support
