* JOB SUMMARY: *
The Informatica ETL Developer will be part of the ETL team responsible for
developing and deploying Informatica ETL solutions. Primary responsibility
will be to work closely with the Data Architects and ETL Architect to
implement ETL solutions for the organization using Informatica, create
technical specification documents and create test plans. Also provide
bi-weekly on call support for the data warehouse backend jobs.
*JOB ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
- Experience in gathering requirements, analyzing data, provide gap
analysis and creating detail design documents and mapping documents.
- Review and analyze functional requirements and prepare technical
documents as necessary.
- Extensive knowledge of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
activities specific to data warehousing, data engineering solutions &
methodologies and software tools
- Must be able to work independently and have the ability to gain
understanding of requirements/data specifications and any data
discrepancies from interaction with others.
- Develops new documentation, departmental technical procedures and user
guides.
- Effective interpersonal relations skills, ability to collaborate with
others and work as part of a team required.
- Consult with customers on project status and advise customer about
technical issues
- Provider technical leadership to the team and act as mentor to junior
team members.
- Provide off-hours and weekend support as needed.
- Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and
departments.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and requirements.

*JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, and Training):*
- Minimum Bachelor s Degree or minimum 8+ years of related experience
- Miminum 8 years experience working with large Enterprise Data
Warehouse projects in the role of Informatica ETL developer.
- Minimum 2 years experience of performing data analysis
- Experience with or knowledge of Data Warehousing, Data Interation
techniques and Data Modeling
- Experience working with complex sql queries like Hierarchical,
Aggregate Queries
- Experience working with different database objects like tables, views,
materialized views and partitions
- Experience with SQL Server / Oracle databases
- Experience in Informatica Power Center
- Experience with other Informatica products like IDQ, Power Exchange,
Informatica Data Archive and Test Data Management (desirable)
- Experience with many of the transformations of Informatica including
complex lookups, stored procedures, update strategy, mapplets, etc.
- Develop Informatica objects - mappings, sessions, and workflows based
on the prepared low level design documents.
- Debug mappings and identify errors and error rows so that they can be
corrected and re-loaded into a target system.
- Working knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX Shell scripting.
- Working knowledge of schedulers such as Autosys or Control M
- Knowledge of health insurance industry (desirable)
- Ability to quickly attain and understand new processes with strict
attention to detail
- Ability to meet strict deadlines, work on multiple tasks and work well
under pressure
- Ability to analyze data and arrive at a logical conclusion
- Ability to assess ramification of issues and prioritize tasks based on
business impact
- Ability to use software, hardware and peripherals related to job
responsibilities, including MS Office and software development applications
- Ability to work independently and effectively communicate within the
team and other teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- Knowledge of process stabilization, performance analysis, code
optimization and testing of data-engineering products.
