Digital Asset Manager

Location: Chicago IL (hybrid 2+ days per week)

Duration: 6 Months

Notes 1/16:

  • Hybrid in Chicago is required (2+ days onsite). If a Chicago candidate cannot be identified, open to someone remote that can be onsite in Chicago 8 days per month.
  • Ideally targeting CTH candidates; while this is not officially CTH, they are working on budget to bring this person onsite.
  • “Digital Asset Specialist” – not a PM. Open to a number of different titles in the DAM space.
    • Wants a specialist in digital asset management.
    • Must have DAM (Digital Asset Management) experience.
    • Tracking model releases, checking status on project, handle hiring for this team, etc.
    • Handling a lot of manual entry into the tool and babysitting the process.
  • Project: transferring to a robust digital asset management tool (Asset Bank).
    • Moving from “Smug Mug” to Intelligence Bank & Asset Bank (both DAM tools).
  • How to build plans and strategies to make this process most efficient, who do they need to bring on to make this happen, clean up the process and run point on this DAM tool.
  • Targeting 3+ rounds of interviews. Would like this person to start as soon as Feb. 5th if not sooner.

Top 3 skill sets required for this role:

  • Digital Asset Management (DAM) Expertise (40%):
  • Proficiency in managing daily DAM operations including file uploads and tool management.
  • Incorporating existing assets from legacy platforms.
  • Applying knowledge of asset management workflows and processes.
  • Expertise in data entry, keywording, and cataloging digital assets using software like IntelligenceBank.
  • Providing efficient assistance in retrieving specific assets upon request, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • License and Asset Management (25%):
  • Tracking and managing license expirations and model releases.
  • Maintaining stock inventory both on and off the DAM.
  • Performing quarterly audits of expiring shoots and associated talent.
  • Generating quarterly reports on expired, expiring, and newly purchased assets.
  • Assisting in retrieving licensed assets as required, adhering to licensing terms and deadlines.
  • Creative Software Proficiency (5%):
  • Experience with A e Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop, Lightroom Classic, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Familiarity with additional tools like Figma, CaptureOne, and Workfront is beneficial.
  • Capable of efficiently accessing and providing requested assets through various software interfaces or platforms, facilitating smoother workflows for creative teams.
