Role: Z/os Mainframe Support Engineer
Location: Auburn Hills, MI
Responsible for supporting z/OS mainframe operating systems software environment across multiple LPAR''s. Installing, maintaining, upgrading all system software including third-party software. This position will also provide on-call duties handling day to day support issues, system monitoring, operations support and client interaction. Diagnostic analysis and debugging, client requests, and disaster recovery testing events.
Minimum 6 years of experience.
Experience with Workload Manager (WLM), Parallel Sysplex, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of common IBM and third-party mainframe system software products.
Ability to analyze and debug operating system and program product related issues.
24x7 on-call support of mainframe operating system and system software products.
Experience with mainframe monitoring tools and system tuning.
Education/Degree: Bachelor''s Level Degree
