Job title: Mobile Applications Developer
Location: Pittsburgh, PA (qualified candidate must work on-site in Pittsburgh)
Duration: 6 months +
Interview process: 1 phone interview and one on-site interview (no skype – so, the person must be willing to come to Pittsburgh for the 2nd and final interview)
*Required skills: Android / iOS development specifically using Xamarin – Xamarin.iOS / Xamarin.Android
Position Summary
This position determines the programming requirements for mobile applications. This position will also analyze and improve existing mobile application performance. This position requires familiarity and proficiency in Microsoft Xamarin, Zamarin Studio and Visual Studio
Job Responsibilities
Experience in Android development platform, specifically using Xamarin and Visual Studio
Experience in iOS development platform, specifically using Xamarin and Xamarin Studio or Visual Studio
Review project deliverables for conformance to established standards.
Experience in working with Web API’s within mobile applications
Assist in developing and implementing technical standards.
Maintain close liaison with data providers and recipients, other team members, and other members of the department.
Act as technical lead for projects
Interact with internal team and stakeholders to achieve project goals
Develop consumer facing mobile applications for Giant Eagle and its brands
Education and Training Required
Bachelor’s Degree and 5+years relevant work experience; OR 2-year Computer Science or equivalent certification 7+ years relevant work experience
Experience Required
5 to 10 years
Experience in Android development platform, specifically using Xamarin and Visual Studio
Experience in iOS development platform, specifically using Xamarin and Xamarin Studio or Visual Studio
Experience in working with Web API’s within mobile applications
JQuery, Ajax, MVC 5, JSON, XML, XSLT, Web Service, WCF, and Web API
Familiar with all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle
Ability to work in a team
Good oral/written communication skills
