Location: Richmond, VA
Duration: 7 Months with possible extension or conversion in full time.

WorkDay Analyst

Develop sustainable data driven solutions with current new gen data technologies to meet the needs of our organization and business Customers
Provide analytic observations and business recommendations, create reports on HR metrics to assist HR management in assessing the effectiveness of people management practices, including: recruiting, employee relations, performance management, retention, turnover, talent management, mobility, career progression, etc.
Ability to grasp new technologies rapidly as needed to progress varied initiatives
Able to breakdown data issues and resolve them
Builds robust systems with an eye on the long term maintenance and support of the application
Looks to leverage reusable code modules to solve problems across the team and organization
Utilizes a working knowledge of multiple development languages
Helps drive cross team design / development via technical leadership / mentoring
Understands complex multi-tier, multi-platform systems
Responsible for Workday report delivery by developing custom reports; designing, running and maintaining ad hoc queries; maintaining data integrity through consistent monitoring, testing and auditing of HR data; etc.
Provide consultative reporting support to both HR organization as well end user
Assist in training end users on the Workday reporting; develop and maintain user procedures, guidelines and documentation; assist in training new system users as needed. Assist in performing reporting system upgrades, enhancements and testing.
Identify and resolve report functionality issues. Continually research, test and stays up-to-date on all system updates and fixes provided by vendor.
Take the lead in partnering with HR and Payroll on the system upgrades/releases.
Performer in Workday report administration and system maintenance tasks
Ensures that our internal customers issues and requests are addressed within documented SLA’s
Experience in understanding and translating the priorities of the business and integrating the HR value proposition and strategies to meet the needs of the business
Workday Reporting Experience
Strong communication skills and ability to interact with IT, Third Parties, and business partners
Ability to analyze complex, interconnected business processes
Ability to review technical design requirements and translate to business language
Assist and coordinate complex problem solving discussions
Ability to manage multiple tasks / projects in a fast-paced, changing environment
Leverage strong interpersonal and teamwork skills to communicate progress, risks and impacts to various levels of IT and Non-IT associates
Focus on reuse / scalability of a solution

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or related areas
2+ years reporting experience – HR/HRIS, Reporting, Metrics, Analysis or similar
Strong understanding of HRIS, ATS, and HCM systems (PeopleSoft, Oracle, HR) with a focus on report development
Experience using reporting tools: Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Cognos, BI tools, etc.
Strong HR acumen and technical aptitude, with proven experience in measurement, data analysis and interpretation
Candidate must be a self-starter who possess strong customer focus, command skills, comfortable implementing change, and dealing with ambiguity.
Advanced analytical, problem solving, and organization skills
Excellent knowledge of software and spreadsheet applications (Excel, Access, SQL)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
