Job Description :
Responsible for development of architecture design, programming standards, and specifications for the Supervisory and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Systems, SCADA communication network, and automation systems. Make modifications in accordance with new and changing technologies, industry standards and user requirements.
Provide technical support in the design, construction, and start-up phases of capital projects.

Responsible for the administration and maintenance of the SCADA system software (Schneider/Wonderware System Platform) and hardware to insure 24 hour per day/ 7 days per week (24/7) reliability and functionality.

Perform planning, scheduling, installation, monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting, repair, backup and upgrade for production environment:
Hardware: PLC, HMI, SCADA, Workstation, ThinClient, Tablets, Network Switches/Routers, and Radio Communication Devices
Software: Automation System Asset Management/Inventory Software, Automatic Reporting Software, Active Directory Server, Windows XP/7 and Windows Server 2008/2012, Backup Server, VMWare and Wonderware Software.
Maintain regular contact with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering departments to provide as needed support. Apply expertise with water quality compliance Staff to maintain conformity with laws, safety and regulations.
Responsible for integration across relevant areas, develop SCADA and automation services to enhance customer satisfaction and productivity, manage information, and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers.
Specify, develop, analyze, and troubleshoot data communication interfaces with systems and devices that support industrial automation, network communication protocols and network security.
Develop, Execute and Enforce Policy including but not limited to:
Network Reliability and Security
Backup and Disaster Recovery
SCADA and PLC Programming Standards

After hours accessibility will be required as needed to meet District needs.

Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; and establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

Comply with safety work-related practices and attend relevant safety training.

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
A combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automation Control System Integration or related science field and three years of experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and supporting automation and control systems, desktop PCs, network switches, routers, firewalls, VMWare and Windows Server associated software and integration experience, preferably for a water or wastewater utility.
Experience with the following vendor specific systems:
Modbus, Schneider/Wonderware Device Integration Server and other OPC automation protocols
GE/Microwave Data Systems iNET/Oribt 900 Mhz radio communications equipment and protocols
Windows XP-7, 2008, 2012 operating systems, and latest versions or releases.
VMWare Hypervisor, vCenter and Microsoft Hyper-V
Schneider/Wonderware System Platform, Historian, InTouch and Maple Systems
Schneider Unity Pro

Process knowledge of principles and practices of Cybersecurity and computing system protection, NIST, and other Cybersecurity standards, regulations and industry best practices.
