Requirement Details:
Role : Windows Server Administrator
Location : Wilmington, DE
Description:
Description: The primary responsibility will be to build new servers running Windows Server 2016 or 2012, on a combination of virtual and physical platforms. Coordination work with the respective application owners will be required to ensure the new servers are configured to their specifications. Leveraging our change management system, schedule and deploy the server replacements. Execute decommission activities on the old servers once they have been replaced
Requested Experience:
7-10 years of IT experience with a min of 4-5 years as a server administrator in a large environment
Build and configuration of Windows Server 2008, 2012, and 2016 - Physical and Virtual
Server hardware knowledge: HPE ProLiant and Dell PowerEdge
Experience provisioning virtual servers on VMware
Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop experience is a plus
Conceptual knowledge of storage and networking components
Proven experience in large enterprise environments is a must
Strong knowledge on Change management process for production systems
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

How well you understand the Change management process
Do you know how to create and use VM ware templates
Do you know how to scan for new storage LUNs from a virtual server during the server build up
Have you worked on Windows Server clusters
Do you have experience around Chassis based server enclosures and blades and hardware
Are you familiar about how server decommissioning is done
Have you installed Citrix Zen app or Zen desktop
Do you have experience building servers? How many years?
Rack/stack experience
Prior experience in Rack and stack operations of Chassis based servers
