Job Description :
Role: Windows Infrastructure Engineer.
Location: Chevy Chase, MD
Duration: 12 months
F2F Mandatory

Required Qualifications:
Experience implementing & supporting enterprise-class Windows servers and virtualization technologies
Experience with Windows OS builds, installation, and configuration
Experience with industry standard blade/rack platforms
Strong automation and orchestration background
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Scripting or programming background is a plus
Good understanding of operating systems security and regulatory standards (e.g. PCI DSS, SOX, etc
Excellent communication and project management skills
Good understanding of networking concepts (e.g. DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, CIDR, TCP/IP, etc
Ability to work independently with limited supervision within and across teams

Desirable Qualifications:
Knowledge of Windows Failover Clustering, VMware v Center, and Microsoft Virtual Machine Manager
Knowledge of PowerShell, VMware Orchestrator, Microsoft Orchestrator, and Puppet
Knowledge of Linux server technologies
Knowledge of SAN and enterprise storage technologies
Knowledge of server hardware and technologies (e.g. rack, blade, NAS, etc
Knowledge of .NET programming languages (e.g. C#, Visual Basic, ASP, etc is a plus
Industry certification (e.g. Windows, VMware, Cisco, etc is a plus
Responsibilities:
Support physical and virtual Windows servers across geographically disperse data centers
Support VMware v Sphere and Microsoft Hyper-V virtual infrastructure
Support Cisco UCS and HP Blade System hardware and infrastructure
Work with other IT teams to gather requirements and architect service-based solutions
Evaluate, document, and plan implementation of new technologies
Automate existing and new processes using orchestration and scripting
Develop and publish documents, project plans, process flows, and procedures for multiple team use
Provide 24x7 on call support for production systems
