Sr. Windows Administrator | Pataskala, OH
Responsible for implementation of recommended changes to Active Directory to improve security, system availability and long term stability. Will provide enterprise architecture for high availability and disaster recovery implementations. Responsible for further design of process improvement for ongoing support, operationalization of implemented solutions, and transition of ongoing tasks to support staff.
Involved in datacenter consolidations involving the discovery and redesign of acquired infrastructure for Active Directory. Provides technical expertise and represents team''s projects and initiatives.
Design, configure and maintains Active Directory. Works closely with project teams to understand integration points such as LDAP and ADLDS for environments and helps provide a smooth implementation. Assist with the troubleshooting of networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational problems of Active Directory. Builds and understands capacity plans to stay ahead of potential bottlenecks.
Requirements
Required to have experience in system engineering for Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and PowerShell.
Strong experience in large multi-domain, multi-forest Active Directory environments with over 5,000 users.
Expert level knowledge in Active Directory 2008 RE and 2012 R2
Understanding of Active Directory security and best practices for SOX and PCI security.
Knowledge of deployment and execution strategies
Highly organized and results driven
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server systems (server 2003, 2008, 2008R2, 2012)
Excellent skillset with MS Excel, Word and SharePoint
Working knowledge of Trend Antivirus Deep Security, file and print, WSUS, VMware, Citrix/Xenapp, GPO, DELL/HP/IBM/Cisco x86 hardware and other current technologies
Ability to be on call 24x7 and have a flexible work schedule
Bachelor’s degree and or 7-10 years’ experience in Windows Server Infrastructure.

Stable environment but old and needs updated. Most DCs are windows 2003 and need upgraded to 2012 in the near future

We need consistency and process to push day to day work to offshore team. Today it is a single engineer managing all aspects.
User, group, permission adds, changes, removes are handled by a different team.
