our is looking for add a Senior Windows Server Engineer to their core Design/Engineering team who has extensive expertise writing custom Powershell scripts from scratch in a clear, concise and well document style. Must be able to design critical infrastructure services and maintain >99.9% uptime as well as produce clear technical and user documentation.
the ideal candidate must have 7+ years of experience working with Microsoft Windows Server Platforms and the ability to successfully engineer all OS components and services. Candidates must be extremely proficient in PowerShell scripting with development experience as well as strong web services. Ideal candidates will come from a core engineering background as opposed to an operations background.
Desired skills included Windows server automation and configuration management using Ansible. Must be familiar with GIT, DSC, NuGet, OneGet, and Chocolatey, and able to quickly adopt package management and distribution.
Additional Information:
Helpful skills include VMware vRealize (VRA) and deployment of private on premise cloud environments or other large scale systems. Experience with Linux platforms a plus, especially previous scripting experience in bash, python and Ansible.
Please note this is a senior position and candidates must have had hands on experience with products listed above. They should be able to work stand-alone and with a distributed team. An ideal candidate will be able to gather requirements, design and test new service offerings, document, and be prepared to transition support to an operational team.
