Windows/AWS DevOps Engineer
Location: Beaverton, OR
Duration: 5 months

Description:
We are looking for a DevOps engineer that can help us move our stack into the cloud, and implement best practices along the way. (IaC, CI/CD, etc
We will also need to leverage them as experts in implementation of varied AWS services for new solutions going forward.

Skills & Requirements:
- Strong windows O/S skills, and related devops experience.
- Strong Linux skills
- Proven ability to successfully migrate various windows based apps/servers NET/services/SQL server) to the cloud.
- Ability to work closely with development teams to integrate their projects into the production AWS environment and support.
- Gain a deep application-level knowledge of the systems as well as contributing to their overall design.
- Work closely with other internal teams to build security, reliability, and scalability into the development lifecycle.
- Expertise in AWS management, tooling, security, deployments, etc.
- Solid experience in migrating windows stack apps to AWS (to AWS)
- Strength in Creating reproducible infrastructure via a variety of modern technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform
- Build engineering automation and productivity tools to streamline and scale applications in the production environment
- Solid experience and background working with AWS services (EC2, API gateway, VPC, ELB, S3, Cloud Formation, RDS, SQS, lambda, etc
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
- Experience with RESTful APIs
- Experience implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Git in conjunction with TeamCity/Jenkins/CircleCI/Octopus/etc.
- Experience in agile management tools (VersionOne, Jira)

Duties:
The nature of the work is focused on the company’s computer and telephony technology tools used to create, store, exchange, and use all forms of information.
Optimize the capability of the IT infrastructure and services to deliver cost effective and sustained level of application availability.
Develop complex tools and processes in the support of continuity management. Executes tests for system continuity.
Design, test, and implement monitoring tools and processes. Write procedures to respond to results so system issues are brought to resolution.
Collect metrics over a long term for trending.
Performs complex work to install hardware and software taking proactive steps to assure success.
Devises process and procedure for applying and maintaining security settings and user access based on technology platform.
Recommends improvements as indicated based on analysis of current techniques and perceived imperfections.

Education:
Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience
