Our client, is the largest privately held insurance company domiciled in California, seeks an accomplished Technical Trainer.

Description:
Develop and deliver effective internal and customer training programs that prepare internal team members to utilize this new technology across a diverse employee population.
End goal is to roll out Windows 10 including new equipment/hardware to the majority of our population (500+ users) over the next year.
By tapping into your technical training expertise, you easily engage and excite end users to get them used to the new equipment and its features, show them the differences from what they have (current state) to their new fancy equipment and acclimate them to how day-to-day processes like printing happen with the new technology.
Review and assess whether training documentation meets our organizational needs. If not, make appropriate changes to tailor it to our training and organizational goals as well as the needs of our diverse audience; create training documentation to meet our needs.
Teach diverse population of end users about their new equipment and its new features. Account for differentiated levels of Standard User and Power User.
Compare/Contrast old system (Windows 7) to new system (Windows 10) to share how day-to-day functions differ from one to the other.
Include validation of understanding (quiz to test knowledge) by end users by partnering with Service Desk.
Ensure white glove service by creating complete training module for this upgrade including references to ServiceNow portal, FAQs, recorded training materials as well as classroom training.
Establishes training goals and develops curriculum plans, where applicable, to achieve training goals. Works with Senior Leadership to determine training priorities and resources available for training and creates master schedule for development.
Based on training goals, audience, and available resources, determines the best delivery method to achieve learning results. Identifies measurement(s) for training success.
Ensures all materials are prepared in a format for the LMS.
Working with leaders, identifies participants and schedules training using the Learning Management System (LMS
Coordinates participant registration process. Ensures courses are full with participants. Seeks opportunities to invite other departments who may benefit from cross-training where space is available.
Schedules rooms for in-person delivery, coordinates phone and web meeting resources for webinars or prepares materials for distribution via the LMS for self-managed courses.
Prepares participant materials for distribution and ensures delivery in accordance with timeline in instructor’s Guide.
Coordinates all aspects of training delivery including refreshments (where appropriate), technology, instructor materials and tools; audio and video, etc. on day(s) of training.
Conducts training programs appropriate for in-person delivery and technical/knowledge level ensuring participant engagement and satisfaction and high evaluation results.

Requirements:
5+ years of experience in Corporate Technical Training.
Deep understanding of both Windows 7 and Windows 10 environments in order to clearly, concisely detail the differences between the two as well as share the nuances of day-to-day functions from one to the other (i.e. print functions, RightFax, control panel functions, etc.
Training style must be animated to engage audience and build excitement about the training and new equipment rollout.
Lectora experience or similar learning management system (LMS) experience required.

Experience with ServiceNow strongly preferred.
