Develop customization and integration of Connections with IBM WebSphere Portal / IBM Web Content Management (WCM) through API integration
Evaluate functional and technical requirements documentation around IBM Connections development and create detailed tasks plans to accomplish these customizations
Ø Develop customizations to send/retrieves messages / activity updates to IBM Connections Communities
Ø Develop customizations to save/retrieve user data from IBM Connections Profiles (standard and extension attributes)
Test, implement and support all IBM Connections-related developed code
Document implementation and maintenance procedures
Evaluate potential customizations and provide recommendations on implementation activities and architectural considerations
Participate in the Connections system upgrades and system deployment
Perform system administration tasks to support the IBM Connections implementation
Assist in technical support / triage for the client's Production implementation of IBM Connections functionality
Developer Qualifications:
5+ years of practical experience with application development, configuration and support on Windows and Linux server platforms is required
5+ experience with J2EE Java development, API Curl scripting is required.
2+ years’ experience with IBM Connections installation, administration, and development is required
2+ years’ experience with the following technologies is required:
IBM Connections installation, administration, and development
OpenSocial API development and associated technologies
HTML, JavaScript, REST, XML, JSON, Java
IBM WebSphere Application Server development and Eclipse IDE
I Widget / OpenSocial gadgets
Code Repository / Code Management (GIT, etc)
Knowledge of the following technologies is highly desired:
IBM WebSphere Portal development
IBM Web Content Management (WCM) development
Knowledge of the following technologies is desirable:
IBM HTTP Server
IBM Edge Caching Proxy
DB2 Database Server / SQL
Microsoft Skype
Yammer
