Job Description:
The IBM Websphere MQSeries and Message Broker Administrator/Specialist II role is a mission critical role to support data integrations between SESIS and other DOE applications via the DOE’s Service Oriented Architecture (SOA This will allow full pursuit of business systems integration across heterogeneous systems already deployed at the DOE. The person fulfilling this role will manage the implementation of Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) components and the deployment, configuration, and administration of related technologies. The person in this role will also be responsible for deployment, management, troubleshooting, and optimization of message flows and data integration orchestrations supporting the integration of data between SESIS and other DOE line-of-business applications. The person in this position plays a critical role in gathering and analyzing requirements to ensure that the ESB implementation is aligned with the business needs of the user base and that deployed components are optimized to maximize performance within the ESB environment.
Daily Tasks include but not limited to the following:
Responsibilities:
Installs and configures IBM Websphere, MQ Series, and Message Broker software.
Installs and configures Microsoft Windows Clusters
Installs and configures IBM MS Series clusters, including configuration of queue sharing as appropriate
Installs and configures IBM Message Broker
Installs and configures Omegamon and Tivoli monitoring tools
Provides application software development support during development project cycles and after deployment
Administers and supports transaction processing systems
Configures and troubleshoots database connections across platforms, including connections to Oracle, SQL Server, and DB2 data sources
Implements SSL channels in IBM MQ Series environments to ensure the security of all data transmissions
Performs and supports problem determination and resolution in accordance with enterprise problem management processes
Implements production environment configuration changes in accordance with enterprise change management processes
Administers and supports MQ Series Workflow
Installs, configured, and troubleshoots WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSRR)
Documents environments, procedures, and policies in accordance with existing enterprise operational documentation standards
Candidates should have at least 84 months experience and a majority of the following should apply:

1. 84+ Months of applicable work experience designing and developing MQ Series and Message Broker environments. #of months 15
2. 84+ Months of experience with server monitoring using Omegamon #of months 15
3. 64+ Months of experience managing MQ clustering, queue sharing, SSL channel management, etc. #of months 15
4. 48+ Months of experience with subversion/Visual SVN as well as automating WebSphere, MQ Series, and Message Broker deployments #of months 10
5. 48+ Months of experience WebSphere Service Registry and Repository (WSRR) #of months 10
6. 48+ Months of working experience on Datapower appliances and IBM API Gateway #of months 10
7. BA/BS in Computer Science #of months 5
