JOB DESCRIPTION
Federate Systems is looking for a WebSphere Administrator to support one of our federal clients. Selected candidate will be responsible for the overall support of the middleware applications in the operational environment, performing activities associated with managing, supporting and troubleshooting a large, complex environment.
The Candidate will be responsible for maintaining, managing, and securing the WebSphere application server in the operational environment. The candidate must have strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux and AIX servers. The candidate will support SAP Business Objects. In addition, the candidate must lead deployments and develop standards and procedures, and other SDLC documentation.
JOB RESPONSIBILIIES:
Design topologies and recommend architecture for installing WebSphere Application Server
Develop, document, and implement procedures to maintain and enhance the WebSphere Application Server environment
Hands on experience in the installation, configuration, tuning/sizing, clustering, deployment and problem resolution of WebSphere Middleware Components.
Ability to use or develop tools to automate maintenance, configuration changes, password changes, deployments and migrations of WebSphere Middleware components.
Experience creating scripts (wsadmin, shell, perl, ant, Jython, Python, Jacl)
Experience working with IBM HTTP Server.
Conduct relevant research, data analysis, and create reports using a BI tool
Troubleshoot the environment, identify the root cause of the problem, and propose a resolution
Experience with developing SDLC process related documentation
Experience with system security patch implementation and vulnerability management
Possess strong oral and written communication skills
Experience with project manage methodologies
Possess knowledge of VMWare, IBM DB2, Oracle 12c, Jython scripting, Shell scripting, AppDynamics monitoring, RHEL, AIX, Windows Server, SAP Business Objects administration, and SAP Lumira administration
REQUIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
4 years of experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining WebSphere Application Server on various platforms, preferably on RHEL and/or AIX platforms
4 years of experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining IBM HTTP Server (IHS), IBM Edge Component Load Balancer, and WebSphere Plugins on RHEL and AIX
1 year of experience with one or more BI tools, preferably SAP Business Objects
4 years of experience with UNIX/Linux and AIX servers
