JOB DESCRIPTION


Contract Web UI Developer
Location: Northfield, IL
Length: 1 Year

Interview Mode : 1st round - Telephonic
2nd round - Blue jeans and screen sharing, Coding

Responsibilities include:
Develop client side code using modern web technologies and application patterns that target multiple browsers and devices.
Work closely with our in house UX and development teams on internal/public facing applications.
Document programming approach in technical specifications.
Execute unit tests and provide unit test documentation.
Create supplemental Web UI designs.
Provide technical support for production systems.
Perform code reviews.

We''re looking for someone with:
Minimum of 5 years of IT work experience building application user interfaces using modern web technologies.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Proven experience with and solid understanding of HTML5 /JavaScript /CSS3
Experience with test driven development methodology and JavaScript unit testing, functional testing and integration testing

Working knowledge of one or more of the following UI frameworks:
Angular JS 1.4/1.5 or Angular 2+
JQuery/JQuery UI
Bootstrap
LESS/SASS CSS preprocessors
Jasmine/Jest/Karma or other JavaScript test tool

Possess a solid understanding of:
Single page application design and patterns
Adaptive/Responsive UI design techniques and patterns
AJAX/REST API''s
Debugging web technologies for both desktop browsers and modern mobile devices (phones/tablets)
Agile/Waterfall development methodologies
GIT/SVN
Node.js and NPM
Grunt or Gulp

Nice to have:
Experience with Cordova/PhoneGap
Experience with Oracle Web Commerce (ATG / Endeca)
Experience with .NET technologies and Visual Studio
