Job Description :
Will report directly into the primary project manager on this strategic account. Will be responsible for keeping this PM up to speed with applicable daily events and escalating as appropriate so themes can be addressed where necessary across the client relationship·
Program management oversight of project work streams related to Rec and Control, Accounting, Regulatory Reporting, and Operations·
Focus will be on a key strategic client relationship, directly supporting and managing strategic projects for this client. Role will be client facing·
Identify and escalate issues surrounding competing projects and programs; this role is responsible for driving the resolution path for issues that surface within or across projects · Coordination of internal resources across multiple projects and work streams·
Develop the necessary processes and tools to better support the facilitation, collection, and sharing of knowledge, specifically·
Crafting the framework of project plans and maintaining/communicating their details· Escalating issues/risk/status/budget·
Work collaboratively with management, other shared service teams, and the client to integrate cross department initiatives·
Interact with client, vendors and shared service teams to obtain understanding of status, milestones reached, and next steps on outstanding projects·
Client escalation point for project related issues, providing direction and judgment calls for internal team while providing necessary client communication to resolve external issues·
Work closely with internal and external technology resources to track progress, make sure follow ups are resolved, and/or problem solve issues related to new functionality development or IT only releases·
Tracking with the developer resource(s) to ensure all required functionality is on track for delivery·
Working with the business users to ensure an adequate testing plan is being executed to mitigate post implementation risk Qualifications·
A minimum of 4-5 years of experience with focus on trading operations/middle office services·
Demonstration of past project management success; experience with relationship mgmt soft skills·
Experience within fund administration, prime brokerage, Big 4 accounting firm, or investment management firm·
Familiarity of investment transaction postings to client accounts. Examples include option and future exercises, assignments and expirations, buys and sells, expenses, resets and unwinds, and corporate actions·
Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree a plus Knowledge/Preferred Skills:·
Excellent written and oral communication skills·
Effective in a variety of presentation settings, one-on-one, small and large groups·
Excellent Excel, Word, Visio and PowerPoint skills·
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and with accuracy·
Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills·
Possess a natural inquisitiveness to dig into the details of a process or system·
