Job Description :
They are looking to expand the team. This person must have strong React.JS and able to code in PHP to customize the Grav CMS system. If they don’t Grav CMS is not a deal breaker but it will be a huge PLUS to have. The candidate must have 9 out of 10 communication. Candidates must be personable and not talk to me like they are reading a script about their professional experience.

Position: Web Developer
Location: Washington, DC
Duration: 6 Months Contract to Hire
Interview Process: 1st round Phone, 2nd round in person.

What they will be doing: Serving as internal IT support to their Marketing/Content team (their clients) requests on enhancing their desktop application (React.JS) and Website

80-90% of their day to day will be working within their main application that is built in React and node.js on the back end which involves various services ie;
This is what micro services are
10-20% is working within their CMS
Grav (short for Gravity is an open source PHP CMS) is just the blog content of their site
Jekyll is the static pages that don’t change very much (about us, page is rewards)

Must Have:
React.js – pretty close to expert level (advanced)
Entire desktop application tool is all based on React
The rest of the team is more Grav and Jekyll focused so we are light here
Node.js strong familiarity
Stronger back end experience working with open source databases such as SQL and NoSQL
Familiar with micro services
each task within their application has its own service, payment is its own services, checkout is its own service, the backend is all a separate service vs. what the user sees therefor someone who has experience working with apps that are built this way is important
Configuring API’s not just making API calls but configuring them so other people can data from you
AWS - should be familiar, strong nice to have
Some experience with a CMS (doesn’t matter which CMS doesn’t have to be open source)
Understand Basic Agile Process while not being too process focused
Need little direction
GIT- how to use git well
