UI Software Developer
Special Skills and/or Requirements:
The UI Software Developer role will be responsible to work with a small Agile team in the design and development of a web-based assessment application requiring a collaborative nature, ability to clearly communicate and comfort working in a continuous iterative research process. This is role is expected to rely on strong problem solving ability, logic, and analytical skills and extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish project goals. Timely and effective communications to the team, organization and stakeholders are regularly disseminated as part of this job function.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with small Agile team in iterative research, design and development process by participating in Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, review and retrospectives in addition to daily stand-ups.
Work with team members to iteratively develop user-friendly, testable, and functional UI deliverables based on UX research design
Assure product quality through coding, testing, debugging, quality assurance review, and developing appropriate documentation.
Knowledge, Experience & Skills:
Experience working closely with product owners and Agile team members in an iterative development environment.
Progressively diverse analysis, development, and testing experience creating web-based user interfaces using HTML5, CSS, JavaScript ES6, and modern font libraries.
Strong experience with React, Vue, Angular or the equivalent is mandatory.
Strong experience CSS preprocessors like Sass and LESS is highly preferred.
Experience applying responsive web and mobile design principles is highly preferred as well as experience in cross browser development.
Familiarity with Web Accessibility standards and technologies is highly preferred.
Good interpersonal skills in order to interact with clients, technical staff, and third parties.
Ability to provide feedback and develop solutions to solve design and usability problems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
