Job Description :
Summary: The Implementation Web Developer works closely with our project management and development teams to implement functional and aesthetic customizations on our CMS websites. The incumbent has advanced knowledge of technical systems, and troubleshoots reported issues, defects and bugs related to individual accounts. The Implementation Web Developer executes all tasks within established turnaround times or per specified terms outlined in a statement of work. Ultimately, the Implementation Web Developer supports project stakeholders (including PMs, TPMs, Digital Advisors, Program Managers and Engineering) in meeting the objectives of each website build, while championing quality, speed and integrity.


Responsibilities, listed in order of importance:
1. Troubleshoot and resolve website maintenance tasks requiring CSS, XML, HTML, JavaScript and other programming languages
2. Execute Implementation tasks related to new account set-ups and existing account upgrades:
a. HTML, XML and CSS-based site customizations & overrides
b. Velocity and JavaScript programming for site customizations
c. Graphical design work (e.g., crop/resize photos, color correction)
d. Content adaptation (e.g., reformatting HTML & CSS to work in new contexts or on upgraded platforms)
3. Develop automation and efficiency tools to improve team workflow
4. Perform quality assurance to ensure work is performed per specifications and meets both functional and aesthetic standards
5. Document relevant steps involved in individual task implementation and/or troubleshooting, particularly as it relates to communication that task creators have in client-facing roles
6. Contribute to the development of procedural documentation relative to site customizations in the CMS publishing system.
7. Serve as a resource, especially to members of Project Management and Technical Support, regarding best practices and limitations of implementing customizations on the CMS publishing system
8. Proactively develop and maintain knowledge and skills related to technology, tools & products
9. Be familiar with new, existing and updated procedures involving interdepartmental processes, such as Statements of Work (SOW) 3rd party requirements, billing tasks, OEM compliance, etc.
10. Other duties as assigned


Knowledge, skills, abilities required:

Education and Work Experience: A bachelor’s degree in Web Development is preferred, but 2 or more years of relevant work experience is an acceptable substitute. Intermediate to advanced experience with web production is required.

Technical Aptitude:
Strong Web development skills, including Java, JavaScript, DHTML (HTML, CSS and JavaScript) and XML
Intermediate knowledge of relational databases (PHP, SQL)
Ability to understand and interpret existing site design and style guides
Intermediate knowledge of internet applications and protocols
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
Competency in both Mac and Windows environments
