Job Description:
We are looking for a talented web designer to create amazing user experiences. The web designer will work on a variety of projects primarily involving designing user interfaces/experiences for existing/future desktop and mobile applications. The successful candidate will be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts. They will be able to transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs.
Essential Job Duties:
Learn industry workflows and pain points. Help conduct user research and evaluate feedback with product owner.
Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas.
Conceptualize original design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex problems.
Create desktop and mobile application prototypes for testing using modern tools like InVision or Framer.
Present and defend designs and deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders.
Execute all visual design stages from product concept to final hand-off to engineering.
Establish and promote team design guidelines, best practices and standards. Work with marketing team to ensure corporate styling and branding is consistent for all projects.
Curate a style guide that dictates the colors, fonts, and design patterns for our applications.
Regularly participate and contribute expertise during engineering meetings.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of three years of experience working in the digital sector
An extensive portfolio which demonstrates your professional experience with responsive design, typography, UX/UI design and your creativity
Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for rapid prototyping
A strong appreciation for user-centered design
Excellent collaboration and time management skills
Use design standards, guidelines and best practices
Experience working in an Agile development process
Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
Education:
Four to five years of experience in web-based graphic design or web interface design.
B.A. or B.S. in graphic design, art or related field or equivalent academic and work experience.
Relevant software application certifications or advanced training (adobe suite, balsamiq, etc
