Job Description:
Provides guidance including the definition and design of enterprise solution stack architecture.
Responsible for having a general understanding of the overall business goals and objectives for each division and department within our organization.
In addition, responsible for having a deep understanding of the technical solutions to accomplish the business goals. These solutions must be consistent with organization’s integrated technology platform.
Leads and mentors the Technical and Solution Architects. Coaches, counsels and writes performance appraisals for staff
Collaborates across the organization to meet organizational needs and works effectively with all ITS departments to insure appropriate alignment with organizational objectives
Provides leadership for the prototyping of new technologies and their evaluation for ultimate integration with the core infrastructure. Researches and selects appropriate technology for an initiative or given problem while reducing technology cost and complexity by creating synergies and re-use within and across projects, leveraging enterprise tools and existing investments.
Leads the Architecture team in the recommendation and implementation of governance, policies, guidelines and standards related to the architectural aspects of solutions.
Requirements:
Understanding of Internet software engineering principles and techniques; proficiency with web and application servers, HTML authoring, web infrastructure; knowledge of, Java, JDBC, Java Script. JSP, PL/SQL, XML, UNIX-Shell Scripting, Apache, Oracle, WebLogic, Tomcat, Docker, Kubernetes, CDN/WAF technologies.
Experience with third party databases, libraries, interfaces, and internet protocols
Ability to trouble-shoot and resolve technical issues; knowledge of Internet hardware, software and firewall set up;
Understanding of multi-threaded programming, transaction isolation strategies, and deadlock avoidance familiarity with caching strategies and J2EE framework challenges
Ability to articulate both marketing and IT needs/issues to all groups; good knowledge of eBusiness, eCommerce, and eMarketing techniques and analytics
Ability to interact well with team members and business users; excellent project management skills; excellent written and verbal communications skills
