Description:
Looking for an experienced web architect to lead the design of next-generation online platform.
Architect the application stack to be used for the Platform, including content management, JavaScript, data, infrastructure, and content syndication.
Create architecture for portal and content plug-ins. Design content flow from various back-end content production sources.
Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs. Create and maintain software documentation.
Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities. Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent.
Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years software development experience, 5 years of which are specific to front-end technologies.
Demonstrable and extensive experience and expertise in the selection, evaluation, development, and delivery of web platforms and continuous integration practices.
Expertise & experience in optimizing for performance & scale - both server-side and front-end.
Expertise & experience in responsive web design and/or mobile-first product strategies.
Expertise in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Angular, Node.JS, MVC design patterns.
Expertise in XML, XSLT, and Semantic Web applications.
Understanding & experience in service design and strategies including data modeling, REST maturity, cloud API design.
Understanding & experience in search engine optimization (SEO
Understanding & experience in web security.
Experience with any of the following a big plus: learning management systems (LMS), Drupal or Wordpress, subscription billing, Salesforce, identity & access management (IAM
Experience in legal or other technical publications a plus.
Experience in publications or other content-heavy web environments desirable.
