Job Description :
Analyze system performance and suggest/implement tuning as needed
Develop system tools and utilities (i.e. scripts, etc to simplify and support IT and business operations
Plan, implement, and manage systems initiatives with IT and customer teams
Establish and maintain technical standards and server security policies
Patch servers, both software and firmware, on a scheduled basis as well as on-demand for critical security patches
Performance monitoring, capacity planning, trend forecasting
Document and improve upon processes, procedures, and best practices to align with industry standards and customer needs
Web server configuration and administration: IIS and Apache
Meet Disaster Recovery (DR) objectives to ensure business continuity
Provide high level of customer service to internal and external customers, applying an appropriate sense of urgency and creativity in problem identification and resolution, ensuring maximum satisfaction to our customers
Provide advanced systems administration
Install OpenSource and commercial software packages as needed to develop, improve, deploy, and support application environments.
Administer and support specific platform tools including – but not limited to – Cognos BI, Tableau, SQL Server Reporting Services, FTP server software (IIS, Serv-U-FTP, and FileZilla), Atlassian Confluence, Sharepoint, Octopus Deploy, Spire.doc, Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server (TFS), Installshield, and Visual SVN

MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

8 years of experience in planning, designing, and installation of servers, Microsoft System Center, Windows clustering, and Windows Server administration
8 years of experience in troubleshooting, patching, and maintenance of servers
8 years of experience in performance tuning, using built-in Operationg System (OS) functions and external third-party tools such as R Shiny, Telerik, Octopus Deploy, Team Foundation Server (TFS), and Tableau Server
8 years of experience in installing and configuring IIS and third-party software packages
8 years of experience and expertise in failover clusters and high-availability configurations for web servers and web-based applications
84+ months of experience in administration, configuration, and troubleshooting of third-party tools
84+ months of hands-on experience in performance tuning and load balancing
84+ months of experience in providing integration support services for web servers and web-based applications
Expertise in MQ Series Workflow Admin and production support
Expertise in troubleshooting distributed internal and public facing Web Applications / Web services with Oracle, IBM DB2 and MS SQL backend DBs. Including data integrations and messaging interfaces support application integration points.
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized and accredited university

DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

Good working knowledge of load balancing technologies.
Understanding of authentication/authorization mechanisms like OAuth2, OpenID and SAML.
Deep understanding of virtualization technologies, storage and networking backend infrastructure.
Expertise in creating and troubleshooting PowerShell and Linux shell scripts.
Knowledge of managing and integrating on-premises and cloud-based source control and other application development tools such as TFS, VSTS, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, etc.
Deep knowledge of implementation and administration of multi-tiered.
Strong written and verbal communication skills
