WEBSPHERE AND MIDDLEWARE ADMINISTRATOR
Major Responsibilities:
The Middleware Administrator resource shall perform the following services:
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting WebSphere, Weblogic, Tomcat, change control and deployment. Must be able to install, patch, configure, customize and provide ongoing support
· Minimum of 1-3 years of experience with container technology in installation, configuration, customization, deployment and support of Docker, Swarm and Kubernetics.
· Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience with log management products such as Nagios, Syslog
· Minimum of 5 years’ experience with Windows, Linux OS. Able to install, configure, troubleshoot and performance tuning.
· Strong understanding of cloud platforms such as Amazon and Azure IaaS and Paas
· Good understanding of automation using Ansible, Salt or similar technologies.
· Support day to day operations for WebSphere, Weblogic, Tomcat and other middleware systems.
· Support new product installation as needed. Setup, customize, patch and configuration as needed.
· Support change control on distributed platform using Interwoven, Jenkins, Subversion. Perform setup, configuration, deployment and testing of new and existing processes to various environments.
· Support java and environment monitoring tools, such as ITCAM, Elastic Search, Nagios, etc.
· Support LAN Admin, Help Desk and Concierge services.
· Support commercial off the shelf (COTS) products as it relates to middleware.
· Develop, support, and troubleshoot various programming languages i.e. Java, Perl, Python, DOS, BASH, etc.
· Provide support to developers to analyze and resolve production issues.
· Provide 24/7 on call support for production failures, including after hours and weekend support as needed.
· Review and resolve tickets assigned.
· Develop documentation on new processes.
· Provide training to Mazda staff.
· Contribute to development and maintenance of standards.
· Participate in annual disaster recovery and audit as needed.
