DESCRIPTION

THIS POSITION IS BASED IN CENTRAL ISIP LONG ISLAND NY. NO VISA SPONSORSHIP THE CANDIDATE HAS TO BE IN THE US EITHER A CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD. NO OVERSEAS CANDIDATES.

This position is a management role with direct responsibility for supervising hourly and salaried warehouse operations employees. The job duties for this position include but are not limited to the following:

* Responsible for the receipt, verification, storage, accounting of inventories.
* Ensure compliance to U.S. Food & Drug Administration (US FDA) current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and manufacturing safety requirements.
* Train and drive the warehouse team to achieve set goals with compliance to cGMP and manufacturing safety requirements.
* Initiate and review timely standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all key functions.
* Ensure and comply with daily dispensing of raw materials as per manufacturing plan and keep inventories updated.
* Reconciliation of inventories periodically and submit stock reports to finance.
* Coordinate with sourcing team for stock replenishment as per plan to avoid stock out situation.
* Ensure timely disposition of rejected, expired and waste materials & products with necessary approvals as needed.
* Ensure and monitor proper environmental conditions are maintained in warehouse.
* Attend to all statutory, regulatory and stock audits.
* Prepare annual budget for the department.
* Coordinate with cross functional teams to achieve common goals.
* Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
* Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
* Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; initiating corrective actions.
* Maintain warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
* Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending internal and external training sessions where able and approved by management.
* Ensure accuracy of inventories against systems by conducting cycle counts on a periodic basis following applicable internal guidelines.

MINIMUM EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE

* Minimum bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or relevant field of study from an accredited college/university.
* Master’s degree in business, operations management, or pharmaceutical sciences/manufacturing preferred.
* Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in pharmaceutical warehousing.
* Minimum two (2) to three (3) years of hands-on experience and knowledge using SAP.
* Previous supervisory experience leading hourly employees in a manufacturing setting required.
