Duration: 6 month Contract to hire
Job Description:
This position is part of our client’s global network team. This Video Conference Engineer will share responsibility for designing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting the UC network with emphasis on video conferencing and the Telepresence environment. The UC Engineer will work closely with outside teams to gather requirements and implement solutions, as well as collaborate with the network team on design, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
Responsibilities
Manage the design, planning, maintenance, configuration, and upgrades of the UC/Telepresence environment.
Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts within the UC/Telepresence space.
Manage UC/Telepresence hardware and software configuration and deployment.
Create documentation and run books in support of the UC/Telepresence environment.
Participate in the weekly on-call rotation.
Qualifications
Bachelor''s degree or equivalent work experience
5+ years UC/Telepresence experience
Experience with Cisco Telepresence Server and Video Conferencing
Experience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
Telepresence Management System experience required
Must have strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
Highly self-motivated with keen attention to detail
Experience working on a global team in a collaborative environment
CCNA or CCNP Collaboration or equivalent experience
Demonstrated leadership and decision making skills
Able to conduct research into issues and products as required
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong customer service focus
Preferred Experience
Experience with routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing a plus
Cisco Telepresence endpoints (SX10, SX20, SX80, C40, etc
Cisco MCU (CMS, 5310, Telepresence Servers, etc
Cisco Conductor
