VIRTUALIZATION ENGINEER (VMWARE)
Location: GRAPEVINE, Texas
Duration: 12+ Months
DUTIES
Ability to document customer requirements and execute a work order package for deployment
Ability to execute builds following a Visio and build design document
Responsible for the build of virtualization clusters and storage presentation
Installation and configuration of supported software tools
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE
Eight (8) years of significant, in-depth experience with expertise in VMWare and vSphere design, integration and deployment.
5 years experience with NFS and other storage methodologies for use in a virtualized infrastructure.
5 years experience with Active Directory design, deployment, and maintenance.
3+ Experience with integration of cloud technologies such as virtual private servers (VPS), UCS and ESXi and vCenter 5-6.x.
3+ Experience with Windows 2008R2 & 2012 server operating systems.
2+ years hands on experience working with enterprise server platforms (HP, Cisco, SUN, Dell, IBM)
VMware CLI or POSH scripting and or Microsoft POSH scripting experience is strongly desired.
Minimum of 3 years experience with Backup Administration of products like Commvault, Netbackup, Asigra.
Excellent documentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to efficiently prioritize and organize competing work demands with little oversight.
CERTIFICATION
VMWare Certification(s) (VCA, VCP, VCAP)
CCNA and or Security+ certification preferred
Implementing Cisco Data Center Unified Computing (DCUCI) v5.0 preferred.
PREFERRED
BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in the technology sector.
Experience with Network Design.
Hands on experience with SAN & NAS storage a strong plus
Database understanding a plus
