Job Description :
Title: VBA Developer
Duration: 5+ Months
Location: New York, NY 10038
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, enhance and deliver integrated solutions using Microsoft technologies and SQL Server.
Working with client’s systems, enhance/develop tools to streamline work processes and integrate operations.
Provide Microsoft (MS) Access Database, MS Excel, MS SQL Server, and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) Technical Support and Maintenance: This task includes activities such as responding to technical questions, diagnosing and troubleshooting software problems, and performing enhancements for the applications.
Meet regularly with team members to analyze business requirements, evaluate current tools and processes, provide input to design of technology solutions and problem solves both technical and non-technical issues.
Build/Enhance excel VBA prototypes and small scale applications as well as VBA scripts to automate Access/Excel spreadsheet processes.
Work with team to produce technical documentation, test scripts and test cases from requirements, and user stories.
Ensure compliance with System policies and standards as well as internal control processes. Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance department performance, manage risk, and benchmark to industry best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related field
5+ years of professional software development experience
Expert in MS Excel, Access, and VBA/Macro in Microsoft Office 2013/2016
Experience with writing, editing, and pass-through querying
Fluency in SQL Server (2008-2016) and its suite of tools (i.e. Management Studio)
Windows 7/10 operating system experience/compatibility
Ability to execute various manual test cases against requirements, including but not limited to functional, regression, stress and load testing.
High energy, detail-oriented, and capable self-starter with the ability to explore innovative ways to perform tasks in an efficient and timely manner as an individual and in a team environment.
Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to express ideas in a clear, concise and compelling manner.
Strong collaboration skills with demonstrated experience delivering successful outcomes on projects or initiatives.
