Role: VB6 Architect
Location: Raleigh, NC (locals)
Duration: 6-12 Months
There will be three round of interview
Experience level should be 8+ years Associate Technical Architect/Technical Architect
Skills
Extensive knowledge of VB 6.0, MTS, COM, COM+, IIS 6.0 and above
Good knowledge on building web applications using VB6.0 and COM components
Demonstrated experience to migrate VB6.0 and COM+ applications across different operating systems like Windows Sever 2003 to Windows Sever 2012 R2
Should be knowledgeable in developing custom builds using different tools like Install Shield or any other similar type tool
Familiarity w/troubleshooting .VB6.0, COM and COM+ applications on Windows 2003 and 2012
Experience in supporting a upgrade environment from 2003 to 2012 R2
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for migration of applications from legacy servers and operating systems e.g. Windows Server 2003 to 2012
Work closely with Technology support teams and applications teams to coordinate migrations while ensuring minimal disruption to business
