Position: Android Software Engineer with AOSP
Location: Redmond, WA
Interview: Phone & Skype
Duration: 6+ Months (renewable)
Responsibilities:
As an Android Software Engineer, you will have experience not only on Android application development but also customizing the AOSP framework and middleware, with a strong background in performance improvement.
This is a unique opportunity for someone with experience in the different layers of AOSP, custom ROM building, and big data integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the team to identify new architectural solutions to continuously improve performance.
Troubleshoot bugs to identify issues, provide root cause analysis, recommend and implement fixes & enhancements.
Provide technical advice and guidance in the Android development space.
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience customizing the application, framework and middleware layers of AOSP.
Hands on experience with Android development and debug tools such as the Android SDK, NDK, Android Studio, DDMS, GDB/LLDB, etc.
Proven experience with JNI and native development in Android.
Experience building AOSP from source code.
Experience with at least one version control system (GIT strongly preferred.
Experience with web-based code review tools (Gerrit strongly preferred.
Experience working with the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) or custom Android distributions.
Programming and design skills in Java, C, and C++.
Experience working in an Agile development environment.
