Job Description:
Help develop the next-generation distributed applications, based on agile methodology and lightweight Microservice & SOA design patterns, that support the rapidly increasing scale of our fast-growing business
Provide automated testing and quality assurance services to help in the delivery of fast, scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems
Work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to develop and execute test plans that ensure an excellent customer experience
Help deliver quality software, analyze designs and code to better understand their features
Test code both manually and with automated tools using black box and white box testing techniques
Debug complex problems and write automated scripts to aid in testing
Perform manual and automated test and help maintain the quality standards of the software in test
Manage the test artifacts and deliverables in the test management tool
Mange test plan and test runs and ensure proper traceability is available.
Create and manage gherkins and automate using C# - specflow and ensure to take TDD approach
Advocate strongly on behalf of QA for the projects, from requirements scoping through design, coding and eventually to launch
Follow best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews
Work on testing SQL procedures, jobs, and SSIS packages
Able to own QA process end to end and manage defects
You maintain excellent communication with other technical teams in order to collect requirements
Work on the Agile/Scrum environment in order to deliver high-quality software against aggressive schedules
Help ensure that proper test coverage exists based on requirements, user stories, and design specifications
Qualifications:
4+ years of hands-on Software QA experience. You are passionate about the art of effective QA
BS/MS in Computer Science or a related Engineering degree
Hands-on with an object-oriented programming language like C# or Java
4+ years of experience writing SQL queries in MS SQL Server and MySQL environments
Designing and executing test cases, employing both manual and automated/scripted approaches
Writing Behavior Driven Development (BDD) test cases in Cucumber, Fitnesse or Specflow using Gherkins
Knowledge of CI/CD process and ability to create and work on scheduling jobs
Familiarity with a distributed version control system like GitHub, TFS
Agile Methodologies and Scrum concepts and ceremonies
Desired:
You have experience with multiple UI & Service-based test automation tools including any experience in mobile automation using appium or other frameworks.
Understanding and experience in testing applications in AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
Knowledge about containers and testing containers
You have experience in developing QA tools & Test Simulators to assist in the testing of large-scale, complex enterprise-level systems
You can script the automatic spin up of new test environments
Have worked on creating automated test scripts that were successfully applied modularly and in multiple instances to our most complex projects
Created common routines and libraries for test automation that were that were good enough to share with several other teams
Reviewed the latest cool tools out there as part of evaluating new testing technologies and products for application within the environment
You’ve used RedGate ANTS Performance Profiler and SQL Tool Belt
You’ve had exposure to Warehouse Management Systems like HighJump WMS, Manhattan PKMS
