Position Title : Linux System Administrator

Summary
Responsible for providing technical assistance, training and system support, related to web based application. Respond to data requests, able to analyze the diagnostic log to debug the issue and update the weekly consolidated metrics regarding the system status.
Responsibilities and Skills:
Install and maintain Linux/Red Hat servers both physical and virtual in support of established requirements
Monitor the proper operation of the data center and computer systems including hardware, software and equipment
Provide Patch/Scan and have ability to evaluate and respond to enterprise security scans
To provide End to end infrastructure level database support, to include database monitoring, upgrades, installations, patching, security, monitoring, performance and tuning, change management coordination
Understanding of backup methodologies and definition of backup policies and ensuring that data retention requirements are met
Expertise with Linux security using SElinux, firewalld and file permissions/ACLs.
Maintain and manage Virtualized environments
Scripting development and implementation with Bash, PERL, and/or other scripting languages to drive task automation and administration
Support the development and deployment of new applications as needed in RedHat Enterprise Linux
Education and Experience:
Requires 4-yr degree in Computer Science engineering, or related area
Four or more years of experience with Linux operating systems and virtualization.
Experience working with software installation/upgrading procedures
Experience working with file and system maintenance procedures
Experience with full web stack (http, web servers, proxy and caching, load balancing, weblogic, oracle database)
Experience with SAN and NAS Storage
