We are looking for an experienced Datawarehouse Developer that has experience architecting DW solutions. The candidate will also be responsible for providing deep technical expertise in system administration and systems implementation, multidimensional modeling, ETL, and query optimization using Snow-Flake, Scala, Python, SQL, Snow-SQL, and other big-data tools. This will include collaborating with the big data development and analytical teams to create and migrate Scala and Python processes onto cloud-based snowflake; while maintaining compliance with corporate policy, industry standards and guidelines.
Required Skills:
At least four years’ experience engineering medium to large data warehouses using Scala, Python, Hive, Hue, Hadoop, HDFS, Mongo, Snowflake.
Expert SQL and Snow-SQL skills
Data Lake System Administration experience.
Four plus years of experience with Data Warehouse - Adaptable, collaborative team player, inquisitive, fact-based - Pragmatic and disciplined, organized, critical thinker
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Multi tasker
Preferred hands on snowflake migration experience from data lake using Scala.
Experience with one of the ETL tools is a plus (Preferably Pentaho/Informatica
Version control: GitHub/SVN; Schedulers: Jenkins/Crontab
Desired Skills:
Linux system administration and shell programming
Familiarity with VMWare and virtualized servers
Implementation experience with one or more BI/Enterprise Reporting tools: Tableau, Business Objects.
Exposure and experience working within the Cisco Technical Services organization.
