We are seeking Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) Senior developer with extensive technical expertise to work with customers'' complex business problems.
In this role, you will work directly with customers to understand their infrastructure and business needs, and then help them developing solutions around PaaS.
You''ll develop and conduct live demonstrations, design and development of larger, multiproduct solutions.
Responsibilities:
Scope, design, develop, test, and present proof-of-concept applications
Support customers on using PaaS technologies
Help the team in developing solutions and define architecture on PaaS platforms.
Form relationships with the client''s technical staff to identify new opportunities
Must have:
Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) experience using OpenShift by Red Hat, Heroku, Google Compute Engine, Apprenda, Pivotal CF, IBM BlueMix, or Cloud Foundry is preferred
One full cycle project implementation experience is must.
One of the two following skills is required (a mix of both is ideal): Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or equivalent administration experience (e.g. RHCE or RHCA); 3-5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise application architecture and development skills
Familiarity with Java development strongly desired; additional skills in Node.js, Ruby, PHP, Spring and Play frameworks, Go, or .NET development are a plus
Familiarity with Java EE development on technologies like Red Hat JBoss Middleware EAP, Wildfly, Oracle WLS, or IBM is preferred
Migrate application from standalone Jboss and Tomcat environments to PaaS
Hands-on experience with application build automation tools such as, Apache Maven, Jenkins, and Git is preferred
Hands-on experience with Linux Containers and container clustering technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, Rocket, and Open Container Project is preferred
Nice to have:
Ability to simplify and explain technology concepts
Proven experience in learning new technologies and helping others
Background in consulting, pre-sales, or sales engineering
Technical writing skills are a plus
Willingness to travel up to 75%
