Sr. AWS/DEVOPS Engineer
Location In Carmel IN
Duration: 6 Months (Contract to full Time)
Requirements:
Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
o Working experience in a .NET environment is a plus
Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent with web and mobile
Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required)
Strong experience with SQL and RDS (NoSQL experience is a plus, too, since we also use Redis)
A working understanding of code and script (Javascript, PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service
Competent understanding of networks including DNS, security and VPN
Experience with GitFlow and branching methodologies within
Details:
Minimum 5 years experience in DevOps role
Experience building services and processes for development teams from scratch
Experience managing development team CI environments and processes (Jenkins, Travis or other build tools)
Experience with automation workflows
Responsibilities
Responsible for platform deployments
Manage infrastructure configuration and build monitoring tools to ensure systems are performing as expected
Build new AWS service stacks to be utilized by larger development teams
