Under the direction of the Senior Applications Manager, PeopleSoft Systems Group and Application Development Lead for the UCPath Initiative, the Consulting PeopleSoft Developer is responsible for designing, documenting, building, unit testing and supporting code, configuration, and programs for PeopleSoft HCM for the UCPath project and in production. The PeopleSoft HCM Developer will successfully realize technical solutions, provide outstanding support for all phases of the project, and collaborate and support other project team members as required for a successful launch of the new system-wide implementation of UCPath.

Duties of this position include the following:

Design, implement, and support technical solutions supporting the new PeopleSoft HCM system based on input gathered from a variety of sources including Business Systems Analysts, functional consultants, UC locations, analysis results and industry best practices. Provide alternatives to customizations based on best practices.
Initiates and recommends changes in development, maintenance and system standards. Understands industry practices and department policies and procedures relating to work assignments. Ensures that System Development Life Cycle and change management procedures are followed and documented to support each system development and change requests.
Participate in peer reviews and inspections of requirements documents, functional and technical designs, and code.
Applies advanced applications programming concepts in designing, developing, modifying, debugging, and evaluating highly complex conversion programs
Create migration packages and develop scripts for data and configuration to be migrated across instances. Advanced experience with STAT is desirable.
Provide technical PeopleSoft 9.2 HCM subject matter expertise and leadership to the team. Collaborates with other staff on complex technical issues and provides alternative solutions.
Be a knowledgeable resource to mentor others less experienced in application development and production operations.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. May lead a team of software development professionals. Enforces project plans. Provide support as needed to other project areas.
Provides second-level operational support as needed.

Requirements:
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science or related area.
Advanced knowledge of PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 software development and have a minimum of 7 years of experience in PeopleSoft HCM, including extensive work experience on at least 2 large-scale system implementation projects involving large numbers of users and multiple locations.
Advanced experience designing and developing solutions for PeopleSoft HCM applications HR, Payroll, Benefits Administration, Commitment Accounting, and Absence Management and associated self-service applications, including deep experience and understanding of the PeopleSoft HCM data model.
Experience with configuration strategy preparation (migration, procedures & practices, determining automated and manual methods etc
Advanced experience with supporting PeopleSoft HCM in a large-scale production environment.
Development Tools and Skill Set Experience:
o Experience authoring technical design specifications and test plans
o PeopleSoft development tools, languages, and integration technologies
o BI Publisher
o Oracle databases, SQL, and PL/SQL
Experience developing traditional PeopleSoft interfaces and web services into legacy and 3rd party systems.
Strong collaboration, analytical, and teamwork skills. Demonstrated ability working in a collaborative and transparent environment.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.

Preferred Requirements:
Working experience and/or training on PeopleTools 8.55 Fluid framework preferred.
Working experience with Dell STAT application lifecycle management tools preferred.
Knowledge of HR and Payroll policies, procedures and systems (i.e. Federal/State Law, FLSA, W-2, etc.
Hands on experience with various PeopleSoft Modules (Payroll/Commitment Accounting, HR, Benefits/Benefits Administration, Absence Management, and the associated self-service applications) is an essential part of this position.
