Jr./Mid Level System Engineer (WINDOWS/VMWARE)
Location: Sarasota, FL
Duration: Long Term
Act as entry level to mid level engineer for IT operations and work alongside the Sr. Systems Engineer to provide solutions and technical support to clients. Configure, install, maintain, and support servers, computers, software, and other technologies for clients and for multi-site WAN branch offices. Oversee and maintain documentation related to specialized procedures, applications, or system configurations. Diagnosis hardware and software problems and recommends solutions and performs necessary system repairs. Recognizes and troubleshoots operating problems with server hardware and application software. Investigate enhancements to the desktop computing environments and their implementations. Researches, analyzes and recommends backup/security strategies as required. Performs installations of hardware, software, and operating systems upgrades, changes and configurations. Expert in Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, and Group Policy. Participate in client meetings pertaining to organization, management, task assignment, and strategic planning. Ability to setup, install and troubleshoot LAN\WAN hardware such as Firewalls, Wireless AP, etc. Provide upper management with operational data to make forecasting decisions on company growth and markets.
Qualifications and Skills
Experienced System administration who has 3+ years of system administration with Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012 operating systems. Associates degree OR equivalent practical experience. Microsoft operating systems including Windows 7.0, 8.0, 10, Server 2008R2 2012R2 and 2016. VMWare and HyperV. Strategic thinking.
