DATA ARCHITECT
Work Location: Remote
Pay Rate: Market Rate
MUST HAVE EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS
7+ years of Data Modeling and Architect experience
Data Analyst:
Required: Needs to have expertise in understanding and describing data models and data definitions.
Required: Excellent skills in Google Sheets and/or Excel
Required: Must be able to work on multiple projects at the same time.
Required: Must work well with the team and the culture!
Required: Willingness to get buried in the details and work through the details. This is a working position.
Required: Have a deep education data background
Required: Has familiarity with data standards
Required to have a data mopping background (has mapped big data sets to each other and is familiar with the issues and challenge sof that kind of work)
Required: Good writing skills and the ability to communicate in writing both in short operational mode like in Slack and in writing reports and brief s on encountered issues.
Required to have excellent skills at representing models pictorially (Visio or even in PowerPoint or Google Presentation)
Required: Ability to interview both technical folks for the truth about a data set or data structure AND to interview stakeholders for the intent and usage of the data.
Like: Very good analysis skills
Like: KNowledge of database structures and technologies.
Like: Knowledge of AWS
Like: Knowledge of ETL technologies and Services frameworks, at least at the Powerpoint level
Team Leadership Skills:
Required: Ability to manage multiple conversations simultaneously
Required : Sufficient experience with technical aspects of Services, UI, Business Logic and DB layers of the SLDC to guide the team- preferably past experience doing the work.
Required: Knowledge of AGile processes (at least the operational level)
Required: Ability to listen and be empathetic with the team
Required: Ability to work with other team leads and stakeholders
Required : SOme facility or knowledge in using tools like JIRA and confluence to manage a team
Required: Operates independently without micro-management
Required: Takes feedback as constructive criticisms and is not too sensitive
Required: Strong work ethic
Required: Ability to integrate multiple inputs in to a cohesive framework that can be executed
Required: Strong Writing and Communication skills
Required: Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence
Required: Strong Project Management knowledge
Required: Strong SLDC knowledge
