Active Directory Support Engineer (DSO) IV in Chicago, IL

Description:
The Support Engineer work with the team that is responsible for the day to day maintenance and support of our Enterprise Active Directory environment comprising of over 200 domain controllers, 20 domains across multiple forests. In addition to Active Directory the Support Engineer will support our DNS and DHCP environments.
Applicant must have solid fundamentals and understanding in the following Active Directory technologies
Skills:
A firm understanding of troubleshooting, creating and managing Group Policy Objects. Knowledge of AGPM is a plus.
An understanding of scopes, subnets and sites, the AD MMC that hosts these objects and what role this MMC plays
What is DNS, how it relates to AD as a whole, what types of records populate DNS in an enterprise Active Directory Domain infrastructure
A solid understanding of not just the Users and Computers MMC but what security groups are, delegation of rights and best practices in user and computer management. Automation knowledge in object management is a plus.
Experience in change management processes
Be comfortable with being part of an on-call rotation for teams and be available to jump in and assist on-demand.
The support engineer needs to be able to work in a team atmosphere, able to learn quickly, and be a self-motivator. They will need solid documentation skills and be able to follow the ITIL Change Management process.

Contractor Levels and related experience:
5 or more years’ experience specifically in day to day operations of an enterprise sized Active Directory, Group Policy Management, Sites and Services, DNS and DHCP.
Additionally the candidate should have experience in one way and bi-directional trusts across forests and sub domains.
The candidate should understand the types of replication between domains and domain controllers and experience with federation technologies and active directory.
This candidate should have solid fundamentals in basic PowerShell query and object manipulation ~ previous experience in automation of tasks is a plus
This candidate should have solid fundamentals in parsing through logs for domain controllers, wire shark / NetMon captures and show advanced trouble-shooting skills.
The candidate should be able to perform some engineering level work and be a Subject Matter Expert on Active Directory and Domain administration.
Knowledge of Infoblox and/or AGPM are a plus, but not required.
Bachelor''s degree or equivalent experience required.
