IT Project Manager
Sunnyvale, CA 94086
Duration: 3-6 Months Assignment (Possibility to extend)
RESPONSIBILITIES
Drive projects through all SDLC phases, from initial definition and estimation, through to production delivery and support.
Drive projects using both waterfall and agile approaches as appropriate.
Deliver projects on time, within budget, with quality results that meet customer expectations.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure projects are planned, prioritized and executed to match business needs. Engage with project governance processes.
Develop detailed project schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Track and report progress, escalate issues and report department/corporate performance indicators.
Accurately track and predict project financials.
Proactively manage scope, issues and risks to ensure project success.
Follow change control procedures effectively
Interface with all areas affected by the project, including end users, services organizations, vendors and implementation partners
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor''s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or discipline related to industry.
10-12 years of IT and business/industry work experience.
6-8 years managing IT Applications projects.
Experience spreads across managing multiple ERP (SAP projects desired) projects, Infrastructure & Security projects needed
Strong proponent of utilizing a formal project methodology, techniques and tools
Background in Medical Device Manufacturing companies preferred
Exposure to the IQ, OQ, PQ Validation, Regulatory Process is highly desired
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, MS Project, Jira, Sharepoint tools
PMP/PRINCE II, PMI, ITIL and/or Agile certifications a plus
Knowledge and understanding of project management methodologies: used in waterfall or Agile development projects.
Proven track record of successfully managing complex IT projects, collaborating across business and IT teams.
Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining project deliverables such as project charter, project plan, status reports, project timesheets, estimates, communication plan, reports, risk management plan, budget, milestone/deliverables charts.
Demonstrated experience managing issues, scope, and quality while bringing projects to successful completion within cost and time requirements.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, MS Project, Jira, SharePoint tools
PgMP, PMP, ITIL and/or Agile certifications a plus
Ability to manage complex project schedules and estimates.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Able to manage meetings, lead project teams, and communicate effectively with senior management
