Position: QA Specialist
Location: Plano, TX
Duration: 9+ Months (Poss. of ext. or perm
W2 only
Job Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain and execute automated and manual test scripts for requirement validation, integration, regression and usability testing
Develop quality assurance standards and track quality assurance activities
Translate both high-level and detailed business requirements into test scenarios
Participate in test strategy, test estimation and planning discussions
Draft test artifacts, including Test Plans, Business Test Scenarios and Requirements Traceability Matrices
Create and maintain reusable test data for automation scripts
Document test results and assist with defect management
Produce status reports related to the testing process
Perform analysis related to enhancements to the application
Writing and Executing complex SQL related queries.
Review and maintain all project documentation in accordance with department procedures
Support testing of application and environmental upgrades
Maintain understanding of current and new testing technologies
Assist with team mentorship of new-hires.
Bachelor''s degree preferred or equivalent work experience
3+ years of experience as a Integration QA Tester
3+ years of working experience with RDBMS (SQL, ORACLE)
At least 2 year of experience creating, maintaining, and executing tests for complex Java applications.
DevOps Background is must.
Familiar with Web development, and integrations with external data sources and data flows (SQL databases, XML and APIs)
Familiar with Responsive Web Design
Experience with change management and defect tracking tools such as JIRA is preferred
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to clearly and concisely document software defects
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Understanding of agile methodology.
Knowledge of tools like Docker, Ansible and AWS preferred.
