Title: UX Content Writer

Location: Palo Alto, CA

Duration: 1.5 years

The UX Content Writer will be heavily involved in the content development
process from initial strategy, content development and quality assurance
through project launches. Examples of the types of content to be produced
include taxonomy and categorization of advisory content, labels, help text,
field names, UI strings, etc. This person in this role will also be
involved in the development and coordination of content for a user
experience blog. This person will also work collaboratively across multiple
product teams including UX researchers, visual designers, marketing,
technical writers, product managers, developers, quality engineers, and
others to deliver world-class content.


Content Development Research: Work collaboratively across cross-functional
teams, including product managers, marketing, UX designers and quality
engineers to research and understand key workflows and appropriate
messaging points following a user-centered methodology. Support content
decisions with solid rationale and effective communication skills. Seek out
and give feedback.
Content Creation: Write, edit, proof, and document UX content as necessary
for projects. Provide insight on site navigation and content organization
and labels.
Content Quality Control: Help to create, apply and promote internal and
external UI/UX standards and best practices by monitoring, applying and
maintaining a comprehensive set of UX content guidelines.
Discipline: Create exceptional content deliverables, meet deadlines, and
manage expectations with stakeholders.
Curiosity for Complex Systems: Strong desire to understand and bring
clarity to users by describing complex systems, tasks and concepts.
Industry Awareness: Monitor and apply relevant digital best-practices,
techniques, and tools.


*3+ years of relevant industry experience working with collaborative teams
in interactive design environments as a content coordinator, copywriter or
related position*
Familiarity with user-centered design principles and information
*Work samples to highlight relevant experience*
Experience with web apps or transactional web sites
Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of writing fundamentals
Attention to detail


A degree in library science, journalism, communications, English or a
related field
Experience working in an Agile team environment
