UI/UX Graphic Designer, Architect
Location: King of Prussia, PA or Charlotte, NC
Duration: Long term full time opportunity
Seeking a User Experience Architect with good visual design work and portfolio in Information Architecture. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, creative and versatile individual with experience designing intuitive workflows. He/she has deep experience with interaction design, is fluent in web and mobile information architecture, and can translate functional objectives into detailed specifications. The candidate carries a thorough understanding of his/her end users, a passion for user-centered design, and a critical eye toward clear visuals and text.
The User Experience Architect will work with all departments within the organization, including Product Management, Visual Design, Business users, and Marketing.
Requirements:
· Overall 9+ years of experience with 5+ years of experience in Product Management, UX Design, or a related field.
· Experience in developing wireframes, functional flows and user experience specifications.
· Style guide definition and information architecture aligning to the organization standards catering to both portal and mobile platform.
· Identify, prioritize and track usability issues and make design recommendations.
· Contribute to design standards, guidelines and usability processes.
· Demonstrate ability to work in agile environment and build consensus across teams and work groups from UI perspective.
· Excellent creativity skills in churning out visual designs (PSDs) with various themes.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Distill complex problems into innovative and refined solutions
· Gather and document functional requirements for upcoming web and mobile releases.
· Take ownership of design work from brainstorming through implementation by sketching user flows, building and testing prototypes, and producing high-fidelity visuals that are consistent across apps and with platform conventions.
· Effectively organize and communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale to the wider development team.
· Optimize information architecture to promote usability, while accommodating technical needs/constraints.
· Develop user flows and personas to facilitate feature design process.
· Facilitate design exercises that encourage participatory and iterative design techniques.
· Lead cross-functional design sessions between Product, R&D and Visual Design teams.
· Oversee all user-facing text to synthesize tone, language, and messaging
· Prioritize roadmap features and product enhancement requests, specifically around UX
· Craft internal and external communications around upcoming features, including release notes, user manuals, and feature descriptions.
