Job Title: UI/UX Designer
Location: 2001 Rand Road, Des Plaines, IL (local candidates only)
Duration: 3-6 months CTH or Direct hire
Immediate project need: Modernizing Fleet view application: It was originally designed for their clients to manage fleets; it includes lots of charts and data. The goal is to build one platform to serve all clients, client''s drivers, and vendors network. Lots of designing and testing to be done to build the unified platform.
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, User Experience / Design, the UI/UX Designer I is an attentive listener, a visual thinker, and a problem solver; able to simplify the complex, and work within and improve upon an established design system. He or she is accountable for communicating insights and solutions both verbally and visually in the form of sketches, high fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes, etc.; and is able to frame problems and solutions from the user''s point of view.
Create high fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and page components
Produce final, pixel perfect and production-ready assets
Collaborate closely with account, product, user experience, front-end and dev teams
Contribute to build-out and maintenance of the UI reference library
Qualifications:
Bachelors'' degree in visual design, computer science, HCI/Human factors, or similar
0-3 years of web design and/or usability experience, with an understanding of user interface design
Experience with complex web interfaces and forms
Some experience with design software: Illustrator, Sketch, Acture, Framer etc.
Design fundamentals: color theory, visual hierarchy, typography and iconography
Familiarity with prototyping and wireframing tools such as Axure, etc.
Knowledge of user interface design processes and methodology, particularly as applied to web-based applications
Familiarity with responsive design principles and frameworks such as Bootstrap, Foundation or similar
Solid communication and organizational skills
"Nice to have” some experience in coding/developing HTML/CSS prototypes for testing. Please note: this role/team is not responsible for coding but it''s good to know skill since they will be working closely with developers.
