The newly created Digital Solutions team at Nutrien is responsible for creating a best in class digital experience for employees and customers. This is the team that ideates, executes, and delivers technology for Nutrien’s retail business unit. The team will partner with business leaders and traditional IT to build cloud, API, web and mobile solutions that powers a $12 billion agriculture retailer. We are expanding our cloud platform to enhance omni-channel capabilities, optimize mobile and tablet experiences, and support the digital experience of our customers and our salesforce
Job Description:
Nutrien is looking for a highly creative UI/UX Designer with a passion for creating intuitive user experience for various web and mobile applications. Collaborates with internal stakeholders, the development team and Scrum Master to develop, design, build and launch the product
Responsibilities:
Contributes to the user experience and interface efforts for the team, ensuring the delivery of a high quality product for end users
Creates mock-ups and wireframes for both mobile and web pages that the front-end or full stack developer can translate into code
Creates prototypes that showcase the user flow and interactions
Conducts user experience research and testing through media such as A/B testing, interviews, etc.
Makes strategic design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of design experience
Experience with designing consumer quality products including mobile
Ability to design clear and creative wireframes to guide team
Familiarity with graphics and visual design, including use of a diverse set of software
Experience with planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing and rapid prototyping
Solid knowledge and experience with agile software development
Strong communication skills with ability to articulate and optimize design based on the value to the user and the business
Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications
Open to learning new ideas outside scope or knowledge skillset to span across UI design, strategy and testing
Passionate about resolving user pain points through great design
Sees value in iterative approach to design
Preferred technical skills: Sketch or Adobe Suite
Nice to have technical skills: Jira, Invision, Zeplin, HTML, JS, CSS
